Pricing and Billing

(V 02.00.01-00)

In Cr2, Pricing and Billing of Equipment and Parts will be based on number of factors like line level Unit, Day Price, Week Price, Month Price, DIW, DIM, the Pricing Month By definition and the configuration setting of Allow Fractional Charge Duration.

  • The default Unit, DIW and DIM definitions will be defaulted to the Order header and the Order lines from Configuration g Order Defaults tab. Pricing Method By based on which the Pricing and Billing of an Order is done can also be defined here.

  • In addition to defining Default Unit and Pricing Month By in Configuration it can also be defined specific to a Customer in the Customer Edit window g Accounts tab.

If Default Unit and Pricing Month By is defined for a Customer, then the on creating an Order for that Customer the Default Unit and Pricing Month By will be defaulted from the Customer edit window to the Order and not from Configuration.

The section below explains how Pricing and Billing of an Order is done in different scenarios, when Unit is Blank and / or when Unit is defined with Pricing Month By set to 28 days or Calendar Month and the setting of Allow Fractional Charge Duration.

When Line Level Unit is Blank (not defined)

In an Order, when Line Level Unit is Blank and Item price is defined, the functionality will be as below:

  • System will ignore the DIW and DIM definitions present.

  • DIW  will always be considered as 7 days, i.e. the next 7 days from the Order Start Date will be considered as a Week.

E.g. If the Order was created on Monday the 7th of June, 2010 then one week will be considered from Monday the 7th of June to Sunday the 13th of June.

  • Fractional charge durations, will not be considered.

When Line Level Unit is Defined

In an Order, when Line Level Unit and Item price is defined, the functionality will be as below:

  • System will always consider the DIW and DIM definitions for calculation of Price.

  • If DIW and DIM is blank then system will consider the default values:

Default Values are:

DIW = 7 and DIM = 28

  • The Price of the Unit defined for the line will always be considered.

If Price is blank for a particular Unit then the Price for that Unit will arrived based on DIW and DIM definitions:

  • If Unit is Week and Week Price is Blank, then system will arrive at the Weekly Price using the formula:

Day Price * DIW = Weekly Price

  • If Unit is Month and Month Price is Blank, then system will arrive at the monthly pricing using this formula:

Day Price * DIM = Monthly Price

  • When only Monthly Price is defined and Unit is either Day or Week, then Day Price and Month Price will be arrived using the formula listed below:

Month Price / DIM = Day  Price

Day Price * DIW = Week Price

Here system will first arrive at the Day Price and then arrive at the Week Price.

  • When a particular line in the Order should not be charged then the following should be followed:

  • Day Price, Week Price and Month Price should be 0.00

Or

  • Day Price should be 0.00 and Week Price and Month Price should be blank when Unit is either Week or Month.
