Details

In CR2, you can use the User View feature to save the custom filter settings and search criteria which are used while performing search or print operations. The saved settings can be later accessed from the same window by using the User View drop-down list.

The User View feature is shown in Fig 1.0 and its various components are explained using Table 1.0.

Functionality

1

User View Text box cum Drop-down List

You can enter a new name in this field and click on the Save icon to save the current filter options and/or search criteria as a new User View with that name. Once a User View is saved, it can be accessed from the User View drop-down list.

Note: In addition to the User Views which are created (by defining name and then selecting the User View Save Level), system automatically saves a User View with no name (blank user view), which has all the current filter options and/or search criteria, as was present in the window when it was last exited.

2

User View Save Level

You can create a User View for either:

  • The currently logged-in User Level (by selecting the option For Me) or

  • The System Level (by selecting the option For System). This is available only for those users who have the Administrator user rights.

Note: When an user view is saved in the Logged-In User level, the saved user views will be available only for the user who created the user view. If the User View is saved in the System Level, the saved User View will be available for all the users. However, only employees who have Administrator user rights can save the User Views in the System Level.

3

Default

The Default check box if selected while a User View is loaded makes that User View as the default one for that window. When the same window is opened again, it will open with the settings set as stored in that User View.

Notes:

  • If User Views created for the logged-in User Level and the System Level are both present in a window, then the priority will be given for the logged-in User Level User View and the same will be displayed in the User View field.

  • If default User View for logged-in user is not present, then the system will display the System Level default User View (if present) as active when the respective window is opened.

  •  If no default User Views (Logged In User Level/System Level) are present for the active window, then the User View field will be blank. The window will open with settings made, as was present, when it was last closed.
