Pre-Auth# when a Workorder’ status is changed to Schedule, Open, or Done

Introduction

Payments on Service Work Orders and Parts Sale Orders always becomes an issue when un-planned repairs or maintenance activities must be carried out on equipments. Pre-authorized payments for such orders come across as benefit for your customers. Each pre-authorized payment has a billing cycle and is collected in the future.

In CR2, we have introduced a new pay type – ‘Volvo’ for VFS (Volvo Financing Services) customers, which uses an available ‘credit-line’ to be used as payment method for CR2 Work Orders and parts Sale Orders.

In case of VFS the default expiration for a VFS pre-authorization is 15 days after it was issued. As a specially approved case, it may include an optional expiration days override (up to 99 days).

CR2PS (CR2 Payment Services) facilitates the payment authorizations and pre-authorizations for CR2 using VFS. The same needs to be installed and configured separately. See   Prerequisite

The system however also provides the option to do a manual override for scenarios such as technology failure (for example: the automated authorization for VFS through CR2 is broken). In such case, an authorization can be sought from VFS over a phone-call and the VFS Auth-code needs to be entered in CR2 manually. See Work-around

Prerequisite

To make the VFS feature work in CR2:

·       Install CR2PS at App server.

Refer the installation document.

·       Add the following property in r2.ini file.

VFS_URL=<<Path for payment webservice as per your local App Server installation>>

Work-around

In case where a VFS Auth-code is received over the phone from Volvo, it is important to ensure that the code is noted correctly. The code is 15-character long alpha-numeric string in the format – MYYMMDDXXXXXXXX.

The format of the code is explained as below:

·       The code always begins with M (upper-case).

·       YYMMDD is the date on which the code was generated.

·       XXXXXXXX is an 8-digit long random number.

For Example: If Manual VFS Auth-code is M21042901234567, then it was generated on 29-April-2021 and the number is 01234567.
